   You're just pouring money down the drain.

   She will be here in no time.

 

4. drop someone a (few) line; to write a short letter, message, etc. to somebody.

   Who are you writing a letter to?

   I'd like to drop a line to my grandmother.

 

5. have something in common; to share interests or characteristics.

   Why are you looking down so down today?

   I had a fight with James again. I think we have nothing in common. (공통점이 하나도 없어)
