1. put one's house in order. (업무상이나) 자신의 결점을 고치다;

   to put one's business or personal affairs in good order.

   Did you just fire the head of your marketing department?

   Not yet, but her department is a mess, so I told her that she has one month to put her  

   house in order or she'll be fired.

 

2. at odds with 불화하고, ~와 다투어; to disagree about something.

   I'm always at odds with my brother.

 

3. in a good light 긍정적으로, 명확하게; positively

   I'm writing a recommendation for a former employee who is applying for graduate school.

   I'm doing my best to write about him in a good light.

 

4. a Dear John letter 절교편지; a letter that a women writes he boyfriend telling him that she

   wants to end the relationship.

   Did you hear that Bob's girlfriend left him last night?

   He arrived home and found that she had left him a Dear John letter telling him that she   

   was leaving him.

 

5. be on a roll (공이 굴러가듯) 잘 되고 있다;

   to be having a successful period

   Our stock price has increased, we have new customers and all our new products have 

   been successful.

   Sounds like you guys are really on a roll.
