1. Go-getter 성공하려고 작정한 사람; someone who is determined to be successful

   There are lots of opportunity for go-getters like me.

 

2. stand someone up 바람 맞히다; to fail to show up for a meeting or a date

   I waited for more than 3 hours at the restaurant.

   I can't believe she stood you up.

 

3. lay it on thick 심하게 과장하다; to praise someone too much

   My mother really likes him but he did lay it on thick when he was complimenting her.

 

4. out of date 유행이 지난, 쓸모없는; something old, no longer valid or in use

   I had this skirt for six years.

   No wonder. It looks a bit out of date. 어쩐지

 

5. have ants in one's pants 안절부절 못하다; to be extremely restless uneasy, impatient,

   or anxious

   Don't act like you have ants in your pants.
