   Did you hear that Bob is getting married?

   Fancy that! I thought he'd never get married.

 

4. off the cuff. 즉흥적으로. 즉석에서;

   something that is said without any planning or research.

   How much money do you think you'll need to start your new company?

   I haven't figured out the exact amount yet, but off the cuff, I'd say around 20 million

   won.

 

5. in the long term. 장기적으로 보아

   I need to lose weight for a wedding next week, so I'm eating nothing but bananas.

   That sounds interesting, but in the long term, you're better off with a more reasonable

   plan of dieting and exercising .
