아침 출근 길에 길거리에서 파는 샌드위치나 김밥이 팔리듯이 미국에서는 hotcake이

아주 잘 팔린다.

이처럼 어떤 물건이 아주 잘 팔릴 때 to sell like hotcakes라고 한다.
